Victoria (1837-1901), gold Half-Sovereign, 1866, second larger young head left, type A2 with die number, date below, Latin legend surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA, toothed border around rim both sides, rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, die number 20, BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID: DEF: (Hill 442; Bull EGC 1267; MCE.587; S.3860). toned with some hairlines and surface marks, the die number currently unpublished, has been slabbed and graded by NGC as XF details reverse damage.
The Latin legends translates on obverse as "Victoria by the Grace of God," and on the reverse as "Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith."
