RARE 1937 George VI Gold Proof Half Sovereign NGC PF63
RARE 1937 George VI Gold Proof Half Sovereign NGC PF63
1937 George VI Gold Proof Half Sovereign NGC PF63
One of the rarest of the half sovereign series in the world and famous throughout the gold community, these plain edge Proof gold Half-Sovereigns were produced to celebrate the Coronation of King George VI on the 12th May 1937 as part of gold Proof sets, with a mintage of 5,501 pieces, they were technically patterns as they did not have a milled edge like other gold Sovereigns.
In my opinion, this is a candidate for resubmission and regrading with the NGC, there is a clear cameo and crisp surfaces and overall the coin is in great condition.
Comes in a brand new Gift Box designed to store the NGC graded coin.
