A perfect gift for the Half Sovereign collector. Complete King George V five-coin gold Half Sovereign set, comprising of a London mint issued coin for each year of his reign by The Royal Mint. This set contains five 'half' Sovereigns, struck in London during King George's reign. These years represent the high-standard of minting capabilities for the London branch mint. The only half sovereigns minted at the London mint during George V’s reign were minted between 1911 & 1915. These five coins are all composed of 3.99 grams each of 22-carat gold. The obverses all feature Australian-born sculptor Bertram Mackennal's portrait of George V while the reverses show the classic St George and the dragon design, created by Benedetto Pistrucci. 4 formal graded coins and 1 ungraded 1911: 1911 - Not graded by NGC/ PCGS but authenticated by TGS and placed into reusable coin display holder - Exceptional condition (?High AU/ Low MS)
